Who is responsible for your information?

Piper and Partners is the trading name of Piper Mitchell, a sole trader and the data controller for the information described in this notice.

Correspondence address: 8 Farm Cresecent, AL2 1UQ, United Kingdom.

For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, email piper@piperandpartners.com.

Information we collect and how we use it

Enquiries and discovery calls. We use the contact details, correspondence and information you provide to respond to your enquiry and arrange or manage your call. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask about our services. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract, we rely on taking those steps at your request.

The Contact page links to Calendly rather than collecting enquiries through a website contact form. Calendly's booking page asks for your name and email address and offers an optional meeting-preparation note. These details are used to organise your appointment and related communications. Following a link is separate from submitting a booking. See Calendly's privacy notice.

Email subscriptions and free resources. We use Kit to collect first names and email addresses and send resource-access instructions, confirmation messages and subscribed emails. The calculator form requires a first name and email address; the practitioner guide form makes the first name optional.

The sign-up offer explains the resource and email series included. Subscribers can receive the initial follow-up series and further relevant Piper and Partners emails about internal skin health, Prysm iO and introducing additional income alongside an existing business. Our lawful basis for email marketing is consent. You may withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Kit also processes subscription and delivery records, and its emails contain an open-tracking image and tracked links. These can record whether an email was opened or a link clicked. Email privacy tools and security scanners can make these records inaccurate. This engagement measurement is explained at sign-up alongside the subscription offer; we rely on consent for consent-based email measurement. Website cookie preferences do not control tracking inside emails.

We retain sign-up, confirmation and preference information to manage subscriptions and evidence consent. A discovery-call booking alone is not agreement to receive unrelated marketing.

Calculator inputs. The calculator performs its arithmetic in your browser. The sign-up form does not ask for the client numbers or projections you enter into the calculator. Website analytics and advertising technologies are separate from that calculation.

Website operation. Squarespace hosts the website and provides analytics. Technical processing can involve IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, referral information and operational or security logs. Necessary processing supports our legitimate interests in operating, maintaining and protecting the website. We use consent for optional website analytics and advertising technologies.

Cookies, analytics and the Meta pixel

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels and similar technologies can record page visits and actions.

  • Necessary technologies support website operation, security and remembering privacy choices.
  • Squarespace analytics is enabled. Optional performance cookies help identify visits, sessions and traffic sources.
  • The Meta pixel is installed through Squarespace's built-in integration for advertising measurement and audience activity. The integration uses your marketing-cookie consent choice. Where you consent, it can send Meta page visits and website events, IP address, browser or device information and identifiers. Meta may connect this with other information it holds to measure and personalise advertising.
  • Kit forms collect the information submitted through them. This is separate from Meta advertising consent.
  • Calendly is linked from the website. Its own privacy and cookie choices apply when you visit its service.

Use Accept all, Decline all or Manage cookies on the website banner. Necessary cookies remain available when you decline optional cookies. Revisit your choice using Cookie Preferences. You can also control stored cookies through your browser. Withdrawing consent stops future consent-based processing; it does not automatically erase data already received by a provider.

Squarespace documents consent-preference cookies with a 30-day duration, analytics session cookies lasting 30 minutes and visitor-identification cookies lasting up to two years. These are provider-documented durations for the relevant cookie categories, not a claim that every cookie in Squarespace's catalogue is used here. For current names, purposes and durations, see Squarespace's cookie information. Meta's cookie information is available in its cookie policy.

Who receives information?

The services used for these purposes are:

  • Squarespace: website hosting, operation and analytics.
  • Kit: sign-up forms, subscriber records, resource and email delivery, and email reporting.
  • Calendly: booking information when you submit a discovery-call booking.
  • Meta: advertising-related website information when marketing-cookie consent permits it.

Providers may use subprocessors to deliver their services. Their separate websites have their own privacy notices. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

See Squarespace's privacy policy, Kit's privacy policy, Calendly's privacy notice and Meta's privacy policy.

International processing

These services can involve processing outside the UK, including in the United States. Safeguards differ by provider and transfer.

Squarespace's data processing addendum describes use of the applicable Data Privacy Framework. Kit describes the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and contractual safeguards. Calendly's data processing agreement includes Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum. Meta describes its international processing and safeguards in its privacy policy.

The applicable mechanism depends on the recipient and transfer. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data and how to obtain a copy.

Provider information: Squarespace DPA, Kit DPA and Calendly international transfers.

How long we keep information

We review unanswered enquiries and discovery-call records after 12 months, and marketing subscriber records after 24 months without meaningful engagement. We delete information no longer needed.

These are review points rather than automatic deletion dates. Information needed for an ongoing relationship, a legal obligation or legal claims may need to be kept longer. We retain minimal unsubscribe information to prevent unwanted marketing. Provider operational records and backups may follow separate retention arrangements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have the right to object to direct marketing at any time and withdraw consent.

Email piper@piperandpartners.com to make a request. We normally respond within one month. We may need to confirm your identity and explain any applicable exception or extension.

You can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our processing changes. Where required, we will explain a new purpose before using information for that purpose.
